Gold Fillings

Q: Are gold fillings permissible, and is zakaat waajib on them?

A: Gold fillings are not permissible if silver fillings can be used. If for some reason silver fillings do not serve one’s purpose, then gold fillings are allowed. There is no zakaat on gold fillings.
