Q: Does naat (praises of Allah and His Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) recitation not resemble singing, with reference to your answer on singing and dancing being haraam?
A: That answer does not include the recital of Na'at. In that answer singing refers to western songs which are usually immoral, vulgar, obscene, etc. It refers to the pop songs, rap, etc of the sinners and non Muslims.

The praises of Allah Ta'aala and His Rasool (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) is an Ibaadat and was also done by the Sahaabah (Radhiyallaahu Anhum).
