Q: If a person is reading salaat on his own as he will be leaving on a journey in a town where there is a Masjid, e.g Zawaal is at 12:02 and the masjid azaan is at 13:00 and he wants to perform his salaat at 12:05 as he will be embarking on a journey, does he need to give azaan?
A: Calling out the Adhaan and Iqaamat for a person performing Salaah at home or anywhere else alone is Mustahabb (preferable). This will apply if the Adhaan and the Iqaamat in the locality has already taken place. The reason for this is that the Adhaan and Iqaamat of the locality suffices for all within that area. (Beheshti Zewar V11 P25)

In your case, it will be preferable to give the Adhaan, because the Adhaan in your locality has not yet taken place.
