Number of Prophets

Q: How many prophets were sent to the earth?

A: Allah Ta'aala alone knows the exact amount of messengers chosen by Him for the guidance of mankind. A Hadeeth in Musnad Ahmad mentions of approximately one hundred and twenty four thousand. (Musnad Ahmad V36 P619)
